Transfer Module

World class materials testing capabilities

Made for the purpose of carrying delicate and sensitive specimens in a capsule from the SEM into a glove box, or vice versa, to ensure they are protected from air or moisture at all times.

  • Key Features

    • Hermetically sealed - When closed, a fine polished O-ring seat hermetically seals the inside of the capsule ensuring protection from the external atmosphere.
    • Ease of use - The transfer module mounts on the specimen stage of the SEM just like a microscope sample and takes just a few moments to install it in the SEM, or in the glove box.
    • Flexible - Specimens for the transfer module can be as tall as 6 mm, and while "Cambridge" specimen stubs are recommended (eight fit inside), two larger disk (25mm diameter) may be used. Other specimen holders from ion milling systems like Hitachi IM4000 or Cryo systems from Leica etc. can be ordered as well.
    • Heating and cooling options - An optional heating or heating / cooling platform can be integrated into the transfer module. Retrofitting is also possible for this option.
