The AconityX is a flexible LBPF production system. It can come equipped with an optional second process chamber which can increase throughput by parallelising setup times while the main system is still producing. Additionally, process monitoring, high- temperature preheating of up to 1000 °C and an additional powder reservoir for bidirectional powder deposition are available.
The AconityX is also available in a SIX-Laser configuration for maximum productivity. You can configure your system using lasers with outputs up to 1200W, depending on what alloys you need to work with. More powerful lasers also provide additional flexibility and better futureproof your investment.
3D Scan System
Aconity3D’s 3D Scan System allows for on the fly spot size adjustment from 80 to 500µm using the AconitySTUDIO software. This system is standard on multi-laser configured systems as well as systems equipped with process monitoring e.g. with high-speed cameras and/or pyrometers.
Reduction of Build Size Platforms
When fabricating smaller parts, especially using expensive powders, the reduction of build platforms reduces the build cylinder area and powder reservoir. Current options are 55, 100 and 170mm diameter.
Inline Process Monitoring
A camera mounted in the machine lid permits continuous qualitative inline process monitoring and visualisation. This includes remote monitoring using the web-based interface of AconitySTUDIO.
Heating Options
Preheating the build platform reduces internal stresses and distortion, reducing the potential for cracking. It also expands the range of materials that can be used. Options include:
- Resistive heating unit – 500°C
- Inductive heating – 1000°C
- Laser Areal heating – 1000°C
