Poietis Biosystems 3D Bioprinting Seminar

From Lab to Clinic: Poietis’ NGB Platform as the Catalyst for Bioprinted Therapies

Abstract

To overcome limitations of current Tissue Engineering methods and meet clinical needs, the Next-Generation Bioprinting (NGB) Platform has been designed leveraging the advantages of Laser-Assisted Bioprinting (LAB) technology (like high resolution and cell viability) in combination with other bioprinting technologies like bio-extrusion to print complex, multi-cellular 3D constructs.

Robotised and fully automatized thanks to innovative fluidics devices, NGB platform has been integrated into a commercial bioprinting NGB-R system that provides the capacity to develop, at the preclinical stage, bioprinting procedures that can translated to the clinical stage on the NGB-C system already qualified according to the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for ATPMs.

During this presentation, we will illustrate this translation capacity introducing our first bioprinted tissue therapeutics (skin, cartilage…) that are being developed with NGB platform.

Presenter – Dr. Fabien Guillemot
Founder, Poietis (France)

Fabien has over 20 years experience in the field of Regenerative Medicine.
He holds a PhD in Materials Science from the National Institute of Applied Sciences Rennes (2000) and an Habilitation in Health and Life Sciences from Bordeaux University (2010). He was appointed Researcher at INSERM, France in 2005, and invited researcher at Harvard University in 2010.
He is a bioprinting pioneer and inventor, with 100+ publications and 16 patents over the last 15 years.
In 2014, Fabien founded Poietis whose mission is to develop, produce and commercialise an innovative Next-Generation Bioprinting platform to researchers, clinicians and industry to bring Tissue Engineering therapies to patients. Poietis also partners with cosmetic and pharma companies
(BASF, L’Oréal, Servier) to print skin, hair and liver tissues for preclinical testing.
