Varex Imaging – Imaging Components

Varex Imaging Corporation is the world’s largest independent supplier of medical X-ray tubes and image processing solutions. They are a leading innovator, designer and manufacturer of X-ray imaging components, including tubes and digital flat panel detectors and other image processing solutions for medical and industrial applications.

Their product portfolio services industries from medical imaging, to cargo screening and border security. The imaging components that they supply are used in X-ray imaging system manufacturers everywhere to detect, diagnose, and protect.

Varex Imaging was officially spun out of Varian Medical Systems on January 30, 2017 (press release LINK). While Varex Imaging is a relatively new company, they have a rich history reaching back as far as the 1930’s giving them a wealth of experience and knowledge in the field.

Their product range was reinforced when Varian purchased the medical imaging business of PerkinElmer shortly before the demerger. This acquisition broadens the range of products that Varex has to offer the imaging community by adding new digital imaging technology.

Varian Medical Systems is the world’s leading manufacturer of medical devices and software for treating cancer and other medical conditions with radiation and is focussing its efforts in this arena following the separation of Varex.
